Maker’s Mark

In 1954, Bill Samuels Snr disrupted the bourbon industry by setting fire to his family’s 170 year old recipe. He set out to create a full-flavoured, easy-to-drink bourbon replacing traditional distiller’s rye with soft, red winter wheat.

The first, original handcrafted bourbon ever created – now the No.1 Premium American Whiskey in UK.

Barrels are still hand rotated – ensuring the exposure to the right temperatures around the warehouse.

Every bottle is hand-dipped in red wax. While every drop of our premium bourbon is consistent, each drip is distinctively different.

Every label is hand pressed using a 1935 Chandler & Price printing press that has been a part of Maker’s Mark for most of our existence.
