The name Nauticus – Latin for Nautical – comes from Leith’s historical ties with shipping and Global trade. From tea and spice routes, the gin craze, sherry trade and the key role that Leith played in the whisky boom.
Speaking of which, Nauticus has a very respectable amount of malts all neatly arranged on its stylish mirrored back bar complete with moveable ladders for those harder to reach critters.
There’s also a library of books funnily enough and a piano for a sing-around on a Sunday afternoon. And did we mention the chandeliers? Don’t forget to look up.
It champions Scottish produce wherever possible and 90% of its products are Scottish or have Scottish links.
