Because of its strong Hebridean influence (it is named after Islay) which has more whisky distilleries than any other island, it has also got a very strong representation of Islay whiskies on the gantry, with plenty more too.

It is a very sociable pub which normally puts on live music five nights a week. You can expect good highland hospitality at The Islay alongside good and tasty traditional pub food.
