It is a family-run venue, with 11 en-suite bedrooms, some of which were recently updated with bespoke furnishings and luxury wet rooms.

The hotel bar, known locally as Lucci’s, stocks arguably the biggest collection of Islay’s malt whiskies on the island while the hotel’s chefs make excellent use of the island’s local produce, including beef, lamb and seafood.

Food is served in the beautifully appointed dining room, while a decking area at the back of the hotel has views over Loch Indaal and barbeques are held on Sundays throughout spring, summer and autumn.
